Most of you can ignore this update as it applies only to the 41 backers who pledged for the Upwind core book, special edition cover. The rest of you should be off playing Upwind instead of reading this anyway, so get on with it…
Now, for you generous and patient 41. As you have likely already discovered, your Upwind rewards shipped short an actual Upwind core book. That is because of an issue related to the cancelled cover. Those books were originally given a unique SKU, but when the special cover was dropped that SKU was not transferred. As a result the system thought your orders were complete and shipped them. Anyway, not to worry. We caught the error last week and your core books are on their way.
On a related note, back in Update #58, we shared that in restructuring things after Stewart's passing we would not be doing the special cover or the signed copies. In the end however, we were able bling up the cover a little for everyone with the spot UV (which I think looks great), and we still intend to refund you the difference. We are also now working on a plan to get those promised signatures into your books as well. James is designing an Upwind frontispiece that we will print on a self-adhesive book plate, sign and send out directly from Biohazard Headquarters.
I am pleased to be able to make good, at least in spirit, on these two intentions. Thank you all again - especially you 41 - for your ongoing patience and support.
It is with a heady mix of excitement, pride and relief that I can verify that Upwind has shipped, is inbound, and has begun arriving in the hands of our generous and very patient backers. Thanks to you all, Upwind is finally in the wild!

If your rewards have not yet arrived - please don't worry. My own wife - who insisted on trying to be the first backer and going all in (she was 3rd) - has not yet gotten her reward either, but they are coming. Everyone should have gotten an emailed notice that their rewards have shipped. If you have not, do not get your rewards within a week, or have any other complications, please let me know via email, and we will sort you out in short order. Shipping outside the US is through in-country distribution, so those overseas will need to hold the course a little longer, but your books are on their way!
I also want to share that until yesterday, I had not actually held a final version of the Knight's Deck in my hand! Is it weird that I am so excited about what is really just a pretty deck of cards - albeit a VERY pretty deck? Can't wait for you to get yours and see how awesome the cards look!

Thank you all for your unfailing faith and support. It has resulted in a very direct way in a beautiful set of products that I love and of which we should all be proud. It would never have happened without each of you, and as a result, Upwind will always be a shared project in a very real and meaningful way. Mahalo.

I am profoundly pleased to announce that production on all Upwind rewards is finally complete, and that they have been delivered to our fulfillment service. Shipment to backers is imminent, and I will let you know the moment that has been completed.
In the meantime, let me tide you over with a preview of one of the Upwind stretch goals - the Illuminated Character sheet! James has outdone himself in evoking the visual aesthetic of Kin technology in creating this character "control-panel." As soon as he makes a few last tweaks, I will be sharing the final version through the KS message service per usual.
